    Scratch is an easy-to-use, block-based visual programming language tailored for young children to create interactive stories, games, and animations. This course is designed for 2nd and 3rd graders of all skill levels. Every 6 weeks, a new session will open, and parents will be notified in advance. The course is designed to introduce kids to Scratch programming through a hands-on, project-based approach. Each session is interactive, allowing students to create their own stories, games, and animations while building coding skills in a fun and engaging way. Prerequisites: 👉 No prior programming experience is needed 👉 Students should have basic computer skills (using mouse, keyboard) Course Requirements: Laptop for each student will be provided for class use. Grades: 2 & 3 Benefits: 👉 Scratch empowers kids to bring their ideas to life through 👉 Teaches problem-solving skills as kids figure out how to make their projects work. 👉 Scratch encourages logical thinking as kids create sequences of actions to achieve their goals. 👉 Scratch provides a strong foundation for learning more advanced coding languages in the future. Location: Farmland ES Lesson: One lesson per week and 1.5 hour / Lesson ⭐️ This class is only available for Farmland ES students. ⭐️ There will be no class when Farmland ES is closed or has an early release, and no charges will be applied for those days.     Course Description: 📅 Duration: 6 Weeks | ⏳ Weekly Sessions: 1.5 Hours 👾 Course Overview: This course introduces kids to game development with Python and Pygame! Over six weeks, they will learn how to code, animate, and create their own interactive games while having fun. No prior coding experience is needed! 🕹️ What Kids Will Learn: ✅ How to create game characters and backgrounds ✅ Enhancement on Moving objects and handling keyboard input ✅ Adding fun sounds and scoring systems ✅ Building a complete mini-game 🎯 ✅ Add logics, enemies Online: Zoom link will be sent Prerequisite: Either First Coding Purple Hat graduate or prior coding experience needed. Age Group: 10 and up. We'll introduce new games and how to share it with others in this session.
