Terms & Conditions

Last updated: June 15, 2026

Welcome to First Coding Path("FCP", "we", "us", or "our"). These Terms & Conditions (the "Terms") govern your access to and use of our website, learning platform, live classes, code playground, and related services (together, the "Services").

Because our Services are designed for children, a parent or legal guardian must read and accept these Terms on behalf of any child who uses the Services. By creating an account, enrolling, or using the Services, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our contact and support practices. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.

1. Eligibility, Children & Parental Consent

The Services are intended for use by children under the supervision of a parent or legal guardian. Children may not register, enroll, or make purchases on their own.

  • If you are under 18, you may only use the Services with the involvement, consent, and supervision of a parent or legal guardian who agrees to these Terms.
  • A parent or guardian who creates an account or enrolls a child is responsible for that child's use of the Services, including all activity, conduct, and any charges.
  • You represent that all information you provide is accurate and that you are legally able to enter into these Terms on behalf of yourself and your child.

2. Accounts & Security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account login and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to notify us promptly of any unauthorized use. We are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to safeguard your account credentials.

3. Enrollment, Pricing & Payments

  • Prices, class schedules, and program details are described at the time of enrollment and may change at any time. Applicable taxes and third-party processing fees may apply.
  • Payments are processed by third-party payment providers (for example, Stripe). By enrolling, you authorize us and our payment provider to charge your selected payment method. We do not store full payment card details ourselves.
  • You are responsible for providing valid, current payment information and for all charges incurred under your account.

4. Cancellations, Missed Classes & Refunds

  • Unless otherwise stated in writing at the time of purchase, fees are charged for access to scheduled live sessions and learning materials.
  • Missed live sessions are generally non-refundable. If your child cannot attend, please contact us in advance and we will make reasonable efforts to offer a make-up option or recording where available, at our discretion.
  • Any refund or credit is provided at our reasonable discretion and in accordance with the specific refund terms presented at the time of enrollment.
  • We may cancel or reschedule a class (for example, due to low enrollment, instructor availability, or technical issues). If we cancel a paid session and cannot offer a suitable alternative, we will provide a credit or refund for that session.

5. Live Classes, Scheduling & Recordings

  • Class times, instructors, group sizes, and curriculum may change. We may substitute instructors or adjust content to deliver an equivalent learning experience.
  • Sessions may be recorded for educational, quality, and safety purposes. By participating, you consent to such recording. You may not record, screenshot, broadcast, or redistribute any session, instructor, or other participant without our prior written permission.
  • You are responsible for providing a suitable device, reliable internet connection, and a safe, supervised environment for your child to participate.

6. Acceptable Use & Code of Conduct

You and your child agree not to:

  • disrupt classes, harass, bully, or behave inappropriately toward instructors or other students;
  • share, post, or submit content that is unlawful, harmful, hateful, sexual, or otherwise inappropriate;
  • attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Services, other accounts, or our systems;
  • use the Services to build or run malicious, harmful, or illegal code; or
  • copy, resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit any part of the Services.

We may, at our discretion and without liability, remove content, and suspend or terminate access for any user who violates these Terms or behaves in a way we consider harmful or disruptive.

7. Student Work & Submissions

Students may create and submit code, projects, homework, and other materials ("User Content"). You retain ownership of User Content your child creates. By submitting it, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, and use that User Content as needed to operate, improve, and promote the Services (for example, to provide feedback, grading, or to showcase student work in anonymized or permission-based ways).

You are responsible for ensuring User Content does not infringe anyone's rights or violate these Terms. We may remove User Content at any time.

8. Our Intellectual Property

All curriculum, lessons, exercises, text, graphics, logos, videos, software, and other materials we provide are owned by First Coding Path or our licensors and are protected by intellectual-property laws. We grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to access and use these materials solely for your child's personal, non-commercial learning while enrolled.

You may not copy, distribute, modify, publicly display, resell, or create derivative works from our materials without our prior written permission.

9. Code Playground, AI Features & Third-Party Tools

  • Our interactive code playground runs code inside your own browser using third-party open-source technology. It is provided for educational purposes and on an "as is" basis. You are responsible for the code your child writes and runs.
  • Some features may use artificial intelligence or automated tools. AI-generated content can be inaccurate, incomplete, or out of date and should not be relied upon as professional, factual, or safety advice. Always verify important information.
  • The Services may link to or integrate third-party websites, tools, and content that we do not control. We are not responsible for third-party services, and your use of them is at your own risk and subject to their terms.

10. Educational Purpose & No Guarantee of Results

The Services are provided for general educational and enrichment purposes only. While we work hard to deliver quality instruction, we do not guarantee any particular educational outcome, skill level, grade, certification, academic result, scholarship, admission, or career outcome. Progress depends on many factors outside our control, including each child's effort and participation.

11. Online Safety & Supervision

The safety and supervision of your child online is your responsibility. We encourage parents and guardians to monitor their child's use of the Services, devices, and internet access. We are not responsible for interactions, content, or events that occur outside the Services or beyond our reasonable control.

12. Privacy

We care about your family's privacy. Information you provide is used to operate and improve the Services, communicate with you, and process enrollment. We do not sell children's personal information. Our Privacy Policy explains what we collect and how we use it, and is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By using the Services, you consent to our collection and use of information as described there. For privacy questions or requests, contact us at firstcodingpath@gmail.com.

13. Communications

By creating an account or enrolling, you agree that we may contact you with service-related messages (such as scheduling, billing, and account notices) and, where permitted, occasional updates. You can opt out of non-essential messages at any time.

14. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Services are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, or uninterrupted or error-free operation. We do not warrant that the Services will always be available, secure, or free of bugs, errors, or interruptions.

15. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, First Coding Path and its owners, employees, instructors, contractors, and affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive, or exemplary damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of (or inability to use) the Services.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the Services will not exceed the amount you actually paid to us for the specific Service giving rise to the claim during the three (3) months immediately before the event that caused the claim.

16. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless First Coding Path and its owners, employees, instructors, contractors, and affiliates from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to your or your child's use of the Services, your User Content, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.

17. Suspension & Termination

We may suspend, restrict, or terminate your access to the Services at any time, with or without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms or to protect the safety, rights, or experience of others. You may stop using the Services at any time. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and indemnification) will continue to apply.

18. Changes to the Services & Terms

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Services at any time. We may also update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Your continued use of the Services after changes become effective means you accept the updated Terms.

19. Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of [insert your state/country], without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. You agree that any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Services will be resolved exclusively in the courts located in [insert your jurisdiction], and you consent to their personal jurisdiction.

20. General

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will stay in full effect. Our failure to enforce any right is not a waiver of that right. These Terms are the entire agreement between you and First Coding Path regarding the Services and supersede any prior agreements on that subject.
